The dream of opening a restaurant came about after dining in charming inn's during a trip to the East Coast. Most of the family happened to be working in the restaurant industry from Colorado to California, so we all gathered together to open the first Cedar Creek Inn at Lake Arrowhead, in the San Bernardino mountains in 1976.
We quickly outgrew our first location and moved the operation to the desert, in Palm Desert and Palm Springs. From there we came back to our home turf in Orange County. Our family still runs the San Juan Capistrano location overlooking the beautiful "Jewel of the Missions" along side staff members that have been with us for decades.
