Our Story
Cita’s dream of sharing the Filipino culture started in 2001 when she opened the doors to her restaurant Manila Food Mart in Lake Forest, California. The goal was to introduce and provide the community with “Lutong Bahay” (home style cooking) in a “Turo-Turo” serving style. This allows guests to select from a selection of freshly-cooked food, varying day to day. Fast forward to today, Cita’s children now continue her legacy with the same mission of sharing the Filipino culture and traditions for future generations to come.
