In 2017, Michael DeAngelo Jr. had just wrapped up a career in the retail industry and was looking to tackle another industry. Following his passion of food & hospitality, he purchased China Panda in Villa Park, CA. China Panda was an authentic Chinese restaurant that has been a local favorite for over 25 years. His plan was to use the previous owners' unforgettable authentic recipes and put his own spin on things. Utilizing his many years of retail & marketing experience, his concept was created, "Wok Hei" meaning "Breath of the wok". His vision was to create a concept that focuses on providing FAST. FRESH. CHINESE food made to order with fresh simple quality ingredients for take-out and delivery. The first flagship “Wok Hei” was opened in March of 2019 in Tustin, CA. The smaller footprint open kitchen concept turned out beautiful & yes, we did leave some room for dining in. Future plans of more Wok Hei locations coming soon to Orange County, California.
